Wedding coordinator's family vacation turned into the ULTIMATE location scouting trip!

Are you looking for an EPIC elopement or destination wedding location? Somewhere thats not overrated or overcrowded? Well my friends, let me tell you that Montana has the most stunning scenery and is very UNDERrated. At every turn there is an unlimited amount of elopement spots, perfect for any couple seeking a mountain or fishing adventure. And you can't forget about the rivers, lakes and waterfalls. STUNNING!
Now let's jump into the gold mine of wedding locations that is Montana!
Glacier National Park

National parks are always a great idea when it comes to eloping or having a destination wedding. Since they are government ran and protected, they are always a good source for locations. All national parks have a website with free resources with how to's to help you in your planning and location scouting. Since these parks are well travelled, they are also well documented to help you decide on where your location will be.
Glacier is one of the most scenic and easiest to navigate. On our trip we were only able to be in the park for two days, but there is so much to explore! Every mile there was an amazing hike or ridiculously beautiful river view. I highly recommend traveling a few days before you tie the knot to really understand the beauty of each location before you choose. Obviously if you planning a destination wedding, you will need to know the location before you arrive. In the link below the national park website gives you all the information you need to know on the logistics side of things.

Noxon and Rural Montana

Now moving away from the more travelled national park, the rural less travelled small town Montana.
The reason for our family trip was to visit my great aunt in Noxon. Noxon is small community no more than 300 people. The Cabinet Gorge Reservoir runs for miles and is known for its fly fishing. This area is perfect for the couple who is wanting a laid back, quiet and absolutely stunning wedding day.
There is a great sense of community and lots of locals who love to see visitors. Make sure to check out the local VBRO and AirBnb's in the area. There are endless log cabins and fishing houses along the Cabinet Gorge Reservoir. This is one of those locations that no one tells you about. I'd say its Montana's best kept secret. You definitely want to add it to the list of possibilities.
